I have a Wii and PS3. The Wii is for the most part the most fun to play right now. The innovative controller designer gets you off the sofa and actually swinging like your character in the games. Everyone who's played my Wii even for 5 minutes wants to get one afterwards. It's something you can pick up very quickly even if you're not a hardcore gamer. The Wii also has some fun other features like being able to customize a Mii avatar that looks like you, being able to view news and weather in a nice 3D work interface, web browsing, virtual console games from the older nintendos, sega and turbo graphix 16, and participating in online polls and trying to predict their outcomes.

Where the Wii is failing is online play and graphics. The PS3 has those covered. The graphics on PS3 games are simply stunning due to the superior hardware. Whether is the slow motion explosion in Motorstorm crashes or the large scale war battles in Resistance: Fall of Man, or the sweat and skin that gets displaced when a boxer's glove hits someone's face in Fight Night, I constantly being impressed by the PS3 visuals. In Resistance I walked around a soldier who was covering me and noticed that his eyes were following me as I walked around him. And you can shoot the glass in the windows and depending on where you fire, the glass will crack in different ways and when all the cracks surround a single piece that piece of glass will fall out of the window, or when you shoot a cooling hose on the back of one of the aliens it breaks and gas starts spewing out of it. In Gran Turismo when I was racing around the track something shiny reflected in front of me. It was the plastic tape on the side of the road holding the crowd back. The "sun" which was behind me was reflecting off the tape which was made of a shiny material (unlike the people right behind them who did not reflect the sun the same way). I just love all those details.

I suppose though with the ability to put this much detail in games, it's taking game developers longer to crank out the ps3 titles. The best ps3 games are still yet to be released I believe. I'm eagerly waiting for the following....

PS3 is going to dominated gaming.....it's just a matter of time. For now, the Wii is good instant gratification fun.
