The Crutch

When you're feeling weak
When you need a helping hand
When it's strength you seek
When stone feels like sand

When you think you're falling
When there's no end in sight
When they're always calling
When you tire of the fight

I'll be here to listen
To hear your tragic story
I'll be here to lean on
To tell you not to worry

There's no problem too great
Nothing we can't resolve
It never is too late
We'll find a way some how

I won't tell you to speed up
There's really no need to hurry
I only want to cheer you up
And make your path less blurry

Once your problem has reached its end,
You can put your crutch away.
You think you'll want to keep this friend?
Well, we'll work that out another day.
